| The 黒の夢 (Black Dream), as the structure is called, now appears in all time periods except for B.C.65 million. But there are more pressing concerns to attend to first. Crono. By now, you've probably noticed how useful he is to have around. No group of three can learn three-person skills unless Crono is one of them, and only two skills in the game that don't involve Crono inflict sky-element damage. In addition to that, he's generally your most powerful fighter, and fast too. Besides, Marle will hate you forever if you don't do something. :-P |

| The mountain is desolate and covered in snow. There's no music, just fierce winds. One of the strange creatures is near the entrance. | |||

| The creature turns into a tree, sheltering the party from the winds that would otherwise blow them off the mountain. Past the entrance, the winds die down, and Silent Light plays. In addition to snow and rocky cliffs, there are, of course, monsters. Further in, there is a cave, and in the cave... is a pint-sized Lavos! It can dish out some serious damage (hint: leave the shell alone), but shouldn't be a serious problem. There's another one one the far end of the caves. Past the second mini Lavos is a narrow ledge, and another of the strange creatures. |
