| The factory is in surprisingly good condition. Everything is clean and intact, and it even seems to be operational. 2-10 工場跡 (Factory Ruins) plays inside. Robo disables the perimiter security, allowing entry to the main facility. In combat, he uses various robotic arms as weapons. He starts with a few skills, can learn combo moves with the others. Unlike anyone else so far, he doesn't stop learning skills after his second, and he has no element symbol on his status screen (but he does have a small innate resistance to dark element attacks). As far as stats go, Robo is the strongest and toughest physically of any character so far, but has the worst magic stats, and is as slow as Lucca. Anyway, they continue through the factory, battling monsters and hacking security as needed, and evertually come to a large pillar deep inside. Crono flips the rather prominent switch on it. Critical Moment starts playing, and alarms go off everywhere. |

| As they run out, several massive partitions start closing. Robo runs forward to hold the last one open. | |||
| ロボ「ハヤク！ イマノウチニ！！！ |
Robo: QUICKLY! |
Robo: Hurry! Now!!! |

| The barrier slams shut as they get through. The force throws Robo across the room, but, after venting excess heat, he's fine. They continue until they meet six robots that look like Robo, but are blue. The music and alarms stop. |

| ロボ「オ……、オオ…… みんな仲間デス。 |
Robo: Oh...... ohhh...... |
Robo: Th...these are my friends! | |
| He runs up to greet, and bow to, them. | |||
| ロボ「Ｒー６４Ｙ Ｒー６７Ｙ Ｒー６９Ｙ！ 生きていたのか、良かった。 |
Robo: R-64Y, R-67Y, R-69Y! |
Robo: R-64Y, R-67Y, and R-69Y! Good to see you! |

| As he's continuing to bow and greet, the apparent leader punches him across the room. | |||
| ロボ「な、何を…… | Robo: Wh, what...... |
Robo: Wh, what are you doing?! | |
| Ｒー６４Ｙ「ケッカンヒンメ。 | R-64Y: DAMMED DEFECT. |
R-64Y: You are defective. | |
| Defect? At least he talks halfway normally. Stupid all-katakana robots. | |||

R-67Y: THE LIKES OF YOU IS NO COMPANION. |
R-67Y: You have been tainted. | |
| ロボ「……！？ ケッカンヒン……。 |
Robo: .......!? |
Robo: Pardon? I'm...malfunctioning? |

| At the Bottom of Night fades in. | |||

R-64Y: DISAPPEAR, DAMMED SHAME OF OURS. |
R-64Y: You shame us! You must be destroyed. |

| They toss him into their midst and beat up on him. | |||
| Marle and Lucca each have lines during this scene. | |||
| マール「ロボ！ クロノ、ロボが！！ |
Marle: Robo! |
Marle: Robo! Crono, Robo's getting whipped! |

| ルッカ「あ、あんた達ーッ！ | Lucca: Y, you...! |
Lucca: Wh, what are you doing! | |
| If Crono tries interfering, he just gets knocked back, and Robo protests... | |||
| ロボ「や、やめて下さい…… このロボット ワタシの兄弟デス。 |
Robo: P, please stop.... |
Robo: No, stop! These are my brothers! |

| Eventually, Robo staggers to the side, but the other robots keep beating him up. | |||
| ロボ「やめてクダサイ。 やめ……て…… |
Robo: PLEASE stop. |
Robo: Please stop. Pl...ease... |

| マール「そんな事いったって このままじゃ、ロボ、あなたが！ |
Marle: Even if you say such a thing, |
Marle: You'll break down! | |
| ルッカ「あんた死んじゃうわよ！ | Lucca: You'll die! |
Lucca: But they'll destroy you! | |
| Eventually, Robo stops moving completely, and one of the other robots tosses him into a duct in the wall. Whichever character is with Crono runs over to look. The music stops. | |||

Robo! | |

R-64Y: WE WILL PROCEED TO DISPOSE OF THE INTRUDERS. |
R-64Y: Now to take care of the intruders... |

Marle: Don't mess with us! |
Marle: You cocky boxes of bolts! You'll never get away with this! |

| ルッカ「処分されんのは…… あんた達よーッ！！ |
Lucca: The ones who'll be disposed of...... |
Lucca: No! Let's take care of YOU! |

| And the fight starts. It's rather funny that they lined up nicely so that area attacks work very well. Be careful, though, since they fight meaner when they're weakened up. | |||
| 「ロボ！ ひっかかってるわ！！ |
'Robo! |
Robo! They trashed him! |
|
| Marle or Lucca drags Robo out of the duct. He still isn't moving. | |||
| マール「わーん。どーしよう。 ロボが死んじゃうよ！ コロノ！ とにかくルッカの所へ運ぼうよ！ | Marle: Waah! What'll we do? |
Marle: Wahh...! What should we do?! Robo just got creamed! Crono, let's take him back to Lucca! |

| ルッカ「ひどいわ…… 私に直せるかしら。 とりあえずプロメテドームまで 運にましょう……。 | Lucca: Awful.... |
Lucca: He's in bad shape... I'm not sure I can fix him. Let's get him back to Proto Dome for now... |

| So they start dragging (Robo's a bit heavy to carry). | |||

| The door is now open. Lucca gets to work on Robo right away. Marle and Crono can't really do anything, so they rest. At the Bottom of Night plays. | |||
| ロボ「シュ……修復…… 出来そうデスカ……？ |
Robo: RE......repair...... |
Robo: C...can you r...repair...me? | |
| ルッカ「あんまり、しゃべっちゃダメ。 | Lucca: You mustn't talk much. |
Lucca: Shh, don't talk. | |
| ロボ「アナタ方は……。 この世界を変えるというのデスカ……？ |
Robo: YOU all...... |
Robo: You...are trying to save our world? |

| ルッカ「私達の力で、どこまで出来るか わからないけど……ね。 ところでロボは…… 直ったら何がしたい？ |
Lucca: I don't know how far we'll be able to get with our abilities, but...... yeah. |
Lucca: I don't know how far we'll get, but that's the plan. Anyway Robo, what are you going to do when you're repaired? |

Robo: What am I...going to do? | |
| ルッカ「そうよ、長い間こんな所で 故障してたんだもの、やりたい事が いっぱいあるはずでしょ？ |
Lucca: Right, you've been broken down a long time in a place like this, so you should have lots of things you want to do, right? |
Lucca: Yeah. I mean, what plans do you have for the future? |

| ロボ「ワタシに、そんな事を 聞いたのは、あなたが初めてデス。 ルッカ…… |
Robo: You ARE the first one to have asked ME such a thing. |
Robo: Lucca, no one has ever asked me that before! |

| Screen and music fade out. When the scene fades back in, everyone is standing, and Robo's Theme plays. | |||
| ロボ「おはようございマス。 | Robo: Good MORning. |
Robo: Good morning. | |
| マール「ロボ！ 良かった、元気になって！ ごくろう様、ルッカ！ |
Marle: Robo! |
Marle: Robo! You're all right!! Lucca, you're incredible! |

| ルッカ「ちょーっとばかり 大手術だったけどね！ |
Lucca: It was just a teensy major surgery! |
Lucca: I hope I never have to do that again... |

| ロボ「ルッカ、ワタシにも したい事が出来マシタ。 アナタ方といっしょに行く事デス。 |
Robo: Lucca, I too HAVE found something
that I want to do. |
Robo: Lucca, I have made up my mind. I want to go with you... |

| マール「えッ、本当に？ | Marle: Huh, really? |
Marle: Pardon? | |
| ロボ「ワタシも、見とどけて みたいのデス。 アナタ方のする事が、人間を…… いえ、この星の生命を、ドコへ みちびいて行くのか。 |
Robo: I too want to see how it goes with my own eyes. |
Robo: There is nothing left for me here. Together, maybe we can give this planet of ours a chance. |

Lucca: Let's go! |
Lucca: Then let's go! The Gate's up ahead!! |
|
| They walk into the back room. It's a bit cleaner, and there's the familiar sight of a dormant Gate. Fanfare 1 plays. | |||
| ルッカ「さあ！ いくわよ！！ | Lucca: Now! Here we go!! |
Lucca: Hang on to your shorts! | |
| The Gate opens, they step inside, and it sparks, flashes and makes strange noises as it closes. | |||
